Holistic -omics approaches are applied for the high throughput untargeted analysis of complex mixtures such as plant extracts and biofluids. MS spectrometry and NMR spectroscopy, in combination with statistical analysis and chemometrics are extensively used in NPMC for the simultaneous qual/quan analysis of several metabolites present in complex mixtures, and pattern recognition that can reveal significant variations and biomarkers.
