  • Medicine
  • Nutrition & Agriculture
  • Agrochemicals & Cosmetics

Selected subjects include:

Isolation of compounds with pharmaceutical, cosmetic and nutritional interest from natural sources.

Search for new lead compounds of plant and marine origin from Greece, Mediterranean basin, Asia, S. America, Africa and New-Caledonia. Chemical investigation of fungi.

Use and development of modern analytical chromatographic techniques for the isolation of bioactive natural compounds.

Treatment of agricultural wastes for the large scale production of high added value natural products.

Development of functional foods.

Biomolecular Spectroscopy and Computational Drug Design (group site).
